The first thing is to know your outgoing bluetooth serial com port and then pair your pda with the bluetooth gps receiver . After you have installed tomtom from the memory card, here are the steps below.
1. On the tomtom screen, tap anywhere, on the menu screen that appears (menu 1 of 3) . Tap on the “Change preferences” icon and keep going until you get to the “Show GPS status” icon, select that

2. Select Configure then select Other Bluetooth GPS

3. Select your outgoing bluetooth serial port, In my case it is com 6, you can find out how here. Once that is done it should take you back to the gps status screen, you should see blue bars to tell you it has acquired a fix or grey ones if it is still trying to.
4. IF THIS FAILS you may not have the latest update, TRY GOING BACK to the GPS Status screen in step 2, go to configure and select “Other cable NMEA GPS”. Select your baud rate, mine is usually 9600, YOU CAN TRY 4800 FIRST

Select your outgoing bluetooth serial com port as before and if you have a fix you should see some bars
